IMPORTANT MEETINGS FOR PUBLIC INPUT:

WAIMEA RIVER WATER WASTING/DUMPING CASE

Tues. & Wed. April 28 and 29

ATTENTION KAUA’I WATER WATCHERS:

The Hawaii State Commission on Water Resource Management (CWRM) will be holding public meetings on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29 to investigate the Waimea River claim and petition on water wastage and dumping of the Waimea River waters by Kekaha Agriculture Association (KAA).

These meetings will provide CWRM with public input as they investigate the water wasting activities over many years following the end of the sugar plantations in west Kaua’i.

Please consider listening to and showing support for our Waimea Valley taro farmers and others who care for and live with the river.

Millions of gallons of Waimea River waters are needlessly dumped from the river system each day!  Help URGE THE WATER COMMISSIONERS to end this practice.
